No, it is not a cure, just a med used to help with side effects of treatment.
And their IS a legal rx that docs in the US can write.. marinol. Marinol is a synthetic version of the THC in marijuana. He CAN be rxed this.
Marijuana is not illegal bc they will loose money on a cancer cure, it is illegal because they make more money through rxing marinol, and illegal substance taxes.

It does help with nausea from chemo and radiation in some people. As far as cure, never heard that from any reputable medical source. Besides, there is no “cure” for cancer and there never will be. Cancer by its very nature is different in everyone and different from type to type. They may find “cures” for individual cancers and ways of defeating it , but there will never be a general “cure” anytime soon.
Well there’s evidence that marijuana may increase brain cell growth. Marijuana doesn’t really cause death, not like tobacco.
I thought the point was that the marijuana helps with discomfort associated with chemo., not that it actually cures cancer.
It doesnt cure cancer it takes you mind from the pain and it helps you get hungry because the chemo makes you sick and you dont want to eat.

Medicinal marijauna help cancer pts deal with the chemotherapy induced nausea, it also can help stimulate the appetite which is usually decreased r/t illness and nausea. But, no it does not cause cancer, in fact I believe there is a link between illicit drug use causing cancers.

Marijuana does not cure cancer. It can make people more comfortable, helps with nausea and increase the appetite. And yes, doctors can prescribe a form of marijuana which comes in pill form. My husband took it for a short time when undergoing chemo.
If it were a cure for cancer – and wouldn’t that be wonderful? – it would be used at once.
